The 2050 Food Challenge

By 2050, the earth’s population is projected to reach over 9 billion. The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN (FAO) predicts food supply will need to increase 60% to meet global demand.

It is expected that 85% of this production increase will be driven by increased yields and cropping intensity, highlighting the critical role of agricultural technologies.

Precision Agriculture

With the convergence of advanced sensor technology, artificial intelligence and IoT low power data networks, it is now possible for low cost solutions that can provide data and insights to make better farming decisions.
